IN A NUTSHELL:  The early church started with a bang! And then those that had come to a new faith found themselves strapped for money.  The Church lives in the real world with real pressures and needs to understand the Reliable Truths about the Stewardship of Money.  Notice how what they did reflected upon what they believed about their wealth.

ICE BREAKER :  Any “rich uncle” stories you can share?                                                                                                                

HIS WORD

1. What all does Scripture say is God’s?  De. 10:14; Ps. 24:1;  1 Cor. 10:26

2. What is it about wealth that makes it so hard to have it and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven?  Matt. 19:16-24; Prov. 30:8-9

3. What tends to make us anxious? What tends to give us peace?  Matt. 6:25-32; Pr. 11:24-25

YOUR WORLD

1.   How many items, issues, topicsin your world that are related to material wealth can you identify and write down? Make a list.

2. Now try to imagine the difference in the way you think about each item on that list and what God thinks about each item?  Is 55:8-9
