9/28 Prepare Your Heart for Sunday Worship

characteristics-of-a-godly-leaderToday’s Chronological Bible Reading: (today) Title:  ““"Enough is Enough -because of Him, not me” ”

Texts:   Nehemiah 1&2; 1 Timothy 3

IN A NUTSHELL: It is God's work through prayerful, humble, obedient people that his work is done, one brick at a time, one year after another, and one leader recruiting another

A few questions to consider:

  1. How long was it from the time Nehemiah heard (Neh. 1:1) about Jerusalem's hard times and the time Nehemiah talked to the King (Neh. 2:1)?
  2. How did he feel during that time?  Neh. 1:4-10; 2:1.2
  3. How does Paul describe someone that desires the task of being an overseer? 1 Tim. 3:1
  4. Which job seems most "important" or "significant,"  being the cup-bearer for a King or building a wall?
  5. Why do you think so many popular artists today are writing songs about the dark side of their perspectives?
