6/23 "The Family That Works" Lev. 19 & 20

Texts: Lev. 18:1-6, 8-17  Gen. 2:18-24; Leviticus 18 & 20;  Matt. 19:4-9; Heb. 13:4;  Mat. 5:28; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Eph 5:25-32

In a Nutshell - God intended the family to be a Mom and a Dad that together can create life.  That is a perfect example of the relationship God wants to have with us. (Eph 5:25-32)  Jesus & us create new life!  Satan perverts the sexual relationship because he doesn't want us to understand the goodness and excitement God wants with us. God created sex, it's good not evil.  But Satan steals the goodness away by twisting it!  The culture is left without an earthly illustration of the relationship God desires with his creation.  Any sex outside of marriage is lumped with sacrificing the firstborn to an idol, homosexuality and bestiality because it is “honoring” something or someone other than that one to whom it is due.

  5. What embraced/unrepented sins did Paul mention as preventing one from “inheriting” the kingdom of God? 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21; Rom. 1:18-21

  • Teach God's word regarding sexual purity and spiritual holiness
  • Vote for Christian principled legislation and legislators
