9/21 Prepare Your Heart for Sunday Worship

Enough is Enough graphic (1) (1) Today’s Chronological Bible Reading: (today)

Title:  “The Assurance of Faith”

Texts:   Ezra 4:24-5:2Haggai; Hebrews 11

IN A NUTSHELL: God comes to us when we are not capable of accomplishing much more than chasing our own comforts.  He intentionally, practically and strategically provides what is necessary for us to make a difference working on HIS purpose. His word, our attention, His resources, our obedience and His blessing makes the difference. Great things are ahead, but not without our best efforts!

A few questions to consider:

  1. How many times does God refer to himself as "the Lord of hosts" in Haggai?
  2. How many times does God ask his people to "consider" something? What all are they to consider?
  3. What is it that enables a person to believe in something they can't see?  Hebrews 11
  4. What is so significant about Zerubbabel that God would make him like a "signet ring"?  (Go to "gotquestions.org" and type "Zerubbabel, signet ring" into the search box, now click on the question.)

Songs for Sunday:  (playlist here: TLCC Worship

Here are the songs for this coming Sunday.  One of them that we haven't done for quite a while is "Wonderful Merciful Savior."  Some of you may have been hearing it on the radio since Michael W Smith included it on his new "Hymns" album.  It was interesting to me that this song, which I once considered to be a new song, is now on an album of hymns! :)
